- 1Check fibre and colourWool, silk and hand-made rugs need care (little water, gentle pH); synthetics and colour-fast carpets take the carpet cleaner. Test colour fastness with a damp white cloth.
- 2Vacuum thoroughlyVacuum in both directions to lift the pile and remove grit, which is what wears the fibre.
- 3Pre-treatCarpet stain remover on traffic lanes and stain spray on spots. Leave to work without drying.
- 4AgitateCarpet brush on the drill on traffic lanes; hand brush on corners and edges.
- 5ExtractExtraction in overlapping strips, final pass vacuum only. Groom the pile at the end so it dries evenly.
- 6Odours and protectionOdour neutraliser where there were pets and fabric protector on traffic lanes in commercial spaces.

Can I use Moquettes Remouver on every rug?
It is meant for moisture-resistant, colour-fast textile fibres. On wool, silk, antique or hand-made rugs test first on a hidden spot and use little water; if in doubt, ask us for the method.
Drill brush or rotary machine?
For living-room rugs and small carpeted areas, the 2", 4" and 5" drill brushes do the job with the tools you already have. For large carpeted areas a rotary machine pays off, and we can quote one.
How much product per square metre?
It depends on soiling and dilution. The calculator on this page uses an estimate per m² and shows the cost with your prices when you are signed in to the store.
